THE SCHEDULE
Sunday April 18thArrive & Meet
As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in and get comfortable with the space. Light foods and refreshments will be provided. Guests staying at the Parker House will have this time to meet their house mates and class mates. This is not required for those staying off-site but all students are welcome!
There will be a shuttle for retreat guests from Columbus Airport (CMH) to the retreat on Sunday. Pickup will be coordinated based on your arrival time.

Monday April 19thDay One - Perfumery Intensive
Our first day will be focused on introductions, understanding the goals of the group, demystifying perfumery and the perfume industry and participating in multiple olfactory activities.

Tuesday April 20thDay Two - Perfumery Intensive
Day two begins with olfactory and scent blending exercises, followed by instruction on building scent stories, materials safety, diluting perfumery materials, fragrance families, skin PH activities, formula building, maceration and aging, analyzing sample formulas, and FDA and shipping laws and requirements. There will be multiple activities and time to work on your own formulas.
Open Studio Time is reserved for continuing work on your formulas, and receiving additional guidance from our instructors. We like to have this time open for you to ask questions and keep the energy of the day going before you leave the classroom for the evening.

Wednesday April 21stDay Three - Perfumery Intensive
& Botanical Perfumes Teacher Training
The day begins with discussing important business topics, combating imposter syndrome and building a brand that speaks to you, slow and steady business growth, and a special business coach guest. You will have the final hours of the class to continue your formulas, pack your materials to take home, and choose perfumery kits and materials from our shop.
Teacher training begins in the afternoon and will include a botanical perfumes class experience where you will see the class from the customers perspective. Afterward, you will receive a materials list, tools list, our class Canva templates, and training on class setup, class flow, how to guide your students in a supportive way, and how and where to market your classes. We will discuss each participants unique situations and help you find the best materials and options for your region and clientele.

Thursday April 22nd Day One -
The Perfume Bar Business Builder
Settle in for the most informative and transformative business building course we have ever made. Start the day with participating in The Perfume Bar from a customers perspective. Build on your perfumery knowledge with training on smelling techniques, perfumery materials, the industries favorite perfumery notes, where to buy your ingredients and tools, why more materials doesn’t mean better, how to describe perfumes to your customers, blending perfumes like a pro, and practice blending time with your peers.

Friday April 23rd Day Two -
The Perfume Bar Business Builder
The final day of this course begins with a hot breakfast with our guest chef.
With happy bellies, we will discuss how to build a perfume bar setup without breaking the bank, materials and tools for your display, our base accords, pricing your products for best customer response, branding, Pam’s custom perfumery spreadsheet to track costs and formulas, and a Q&A with Pam and a Columbus based business coach to help you tie up loose ends that might keep you from making your dream a reality.
We will show you all of the kit options that The Perfume Bar offers and help you choose the right option for you.
There will be additional time to practice the perfume bar with your peers, try out your new fragrance lingo, and get comfortable with the flow of a perfume making experience.
